STUDIO TAMAT, HOUSE ON TRACKS

Located a stone's throw from Piazza Vittorio on via Giolitti, near Termini station, this once dark and cramped apartment has been transformed into a spacious loft. The design opened up the space by creating a central living area, restoring original brick vault ceilings, and using a neutral floor to unify the rooms. Color defines the areas, minimizing doors for openness. The central nucleus, previously bedrooms, is now the heart of the loft, with a custom-designed kitchen featuring contrasting materials of steel and birch. The living area is furnished with vintage pieces and highlights the owners' DJ backgrounds, featuring a cherry-colored iron console. The neutral walls complement the travertine reflections from the station, while an air diffuser and custom neon light add musical references. The open space leads to a versatile study and a bedroom with a master bathroom, characterized by bold colors and vintage lights. Original details, vintage furnishings, and a vibrant color palette harmonize the loft with its eclectic neighborhood, reflecting the lively personalities of its owners.
